A fire and blast-resistant wall is essential for effectively separating hazardous areas from non-hazardous ones on the topside. It plays a critical role in safeguarding people and vital equipment from the devastating impacts of gas explosions.

Escape tunnels are specially designed safety structures that provide secure pathways for personnel, serving as evacuation routes from hazardous areas to muster locations during serious incidents, such as hydrocarbon explosions and fires. 

Stair towers are designed to ensure safe, stable, and easy access to working areas. They feature complete landing access, handrails, and non-slip steps. In some cases, stair towers are also fitted with cladding to protect personnel from harsh environmental conditions, such as wind, snow, and far-field blasts.

The most critical moments of helicopter operations occur during landing and take-off. An accident at either stage can result in hundreds of liters of jet fuel spilling from ruptured fuel tanks.
